About Me

I suppose I've never really introduced myself. I'm Amanda, I live in a little town in Wisconsin with my fiance Tony and our 2 cats. I've bounced around a bit in my life but have generally chosen to stay put. I went to college briefly for music education, trained as a dental assistant, and trained for biohazard and chemical clean up. I've had jobs ranging from dishwashing, fast food, dry cleaning, cellphone customer service, custodian and janitor.
My interests vary in about the same way. I enjoy painting, music of a wide variety including musicals, gardening, and reading. I also love horror flicks, Sailor Moon, Doctor Who, anything Harry Potter, anything Disney, and Pokémon. Board games, card games, and video games are a joy to me. I love cats. LOVE cats. The "can't hug every cat" lady is my hero. Mythology and ancient history is my jam. I also really enjoy woodworking, home improvement projects, and power tools.
And dinosaurs. I really love dinosaurs.

I have no idea how to categorize myself and I don't really want to. Who needs stereotypes? Nobody needs to limit themselves to try and live up to an expectation. The only expectation you should live up to is to be a good person. "Be the person your dogs thinks you are."

Tony and I are currently in a middle ground in our lives. We're in the middle of our engagement adjusting (happily)  into our new life together, and in the middle of a professional change for me. It's financial changes, emotional changes, and even physical changes.

Thank you for reading my blog about our lives. I hope you can see a bit of yourself in it whether you're in the same spot in your life as we are, if you've already been through it, haven't quite reached this point, or like me you occasionally derp and need a laugh.

-Amanda
